Lost the weight tape and need to monitor rescue horses weight. I measured his heart girth today and got about 64″. I looked up ways to convert it into weight and saw I needed to measure the length of him as well. But, I found a few different formulas.. one says girthxgirthxlength/836.65 and another says girthxgirthxlength/330.

The equation using kg and centimeters seems more universal:
body weight (kg) = [girth circumference squared (cm) x body length (cm)] / 11,877
